It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything here, but I figured today is as good a day to post as any.
The past 12 months have been a whirlwind, and something I might reflect on here eventually. There’s a lot to unpack, but that’s not why I’m writing today.
I started this blog in 2017 because I had a passion for leadership development. I also had a leadership training framework that I thought would be helpful to people, thus the name of the blog – Three Question Leadership. Basically, the three questions are an observational-invitational model of leadership development that I’ve taught students and adults over the past 10 years. I’ve seen it give guidance to student leaders, provide a framework for accountability, and challenge adults to step up.
Since starting this blog I stumbled across the Table Group (and Pat Lencioni’s) Working Genius assessment – a work style assessment that helps individuals understand themselves in a different light, often giving freedom to their most repeated actions when it comes to how they approach work. It also helps teams understand the strengths they each bring to the table – their “geniuses”, and in turn reduces workplace friction, job fatigue, and even burnout.
There’s a fascinating overlap between those two realms, and one I hope to explore for the next season of 3QL. I hope you’ll stick around, share accordingly, and find something useful along the way.
As always, I believe you have leadership opportunities, and I hope to help you make the most of those opportunities in the days ahead.
You are a leader, and the best leaders grow on purpose.
Let’s grow together.
